Djangocon.eu is going to be organized in Amsterdam in 2011. So we need to, you know, prepare!
Earlier this month we had a first meeting at the Maykin media office in Amsterdam. Remco Wendt is the main organizer and he asked around on the Dutch python mailinglist for volunteers. 10 people showed up and had a good evening of brainstorming, decisions, and handing out of tasks.
Nothing is set in stone yet, but the presumed date is somewhere in June 2011. Originally we looked at May, but that did not seem to fit well with other hotel-filling activities in Amsterdam. Again: nothing set in stone yet.
So: preparations are on their way for a fun 2011 djangocon.eu!
