Train and tram variation

I like public transport, especially trains. So I’m not complaining about commuting by tram and train :-) Especially as there’s quite some variation in trains where I travel. I travel by both Utrecht Centraal and Rotterdam Centraal which are big stations. You get to see everything there except passenger diesel trains. But sometimes there’s a special treat, like 5 diesel locomotives in front of a freight train (photo from 2007):

Or yesterday, when the regular benelux trein from Brussels to Amsterdam was composed of Belgian couches instead of the regular Dutch ones:

The tram (sneltram Utrecht-Nieuwegein) in front of my house is pretty, but pretty boring. Just one type. Until recently, when they bought second-hand Austrian trams to increase the rush hour capacity. They’re testing them out right now:
