The EU parliament regularly moves over to Strasbourg from their normal seat in Brussels. At a cost of 200 million Euro a year - the only advantage is that you salvage some French pride. For 200 million Euro, you can give every Frenchman a one-time-bonus of 1.5 million Euro on the condition that they burn down the Strasbourg parliament building.
Bloody hell, I've made a huge huge huge error in calculating this. 200 million divided by 80 million French is a paltry 2.5 Euro per frenchmen instead of 2.5 million Euro. Stupid me. Ah well, we'll still have to burn down the building :-)
